  • This is an outdoor event, rain, or shine. Please check the weather and come prepared.

  • Gates will be open during the registration times provided on your tickets – please respect the timing.
  • Campers are required to bring all their own gear, supplies, food and beverages for the weekend.
  • You can leave the camping grounds and return as you wish, you must show your wristband at the gate. Do not remove your wristband while at Riverstone Retreat.
  • First aid station is located at the Stone House-check map to locate it.
  • Campers will be able to park by their tents if space allows it, otherwise please park at the designated campers parking area once you’ve set up your tent, see map for location.
  • Please always display your parking pass while at Riverstone Retreat.
  • Alcohol will be available for purchase and it’s to be consumed within the designated licensed area(s).
  • What activities are included with my ticket purchase: yoga, hiking, indigenous beading workshop, swimming, a kissing workshop, fireside culinary workshops, and 136 acres to explore!
  • Please always wear your wristband.
  • Check the property map to locate first aid area, community firepits, pop-up vendor areas, yoga dome, river’s swimming area, kids maze, and the Janis Rotman Observatory.
  • Dogs are allowed and to be kept on a leash in common areas; however, there are 136 acres of land, so feel free to let your dog roam free if it doesn’t interfere with the enjoyment of others.

Will I need to wear a wristband?

Yes, all A Queer Camp attendees will be required to wear a wristband.

You can leave the festival grounds and return as you wish, you must show your wristband at the gate. Do not remove your wristband while at Riverstone Retreat.

What is the Refund/Exchange policy?

All sales are FINAL - There will be NO refunds or exchanges

Is this a family-friendly event?

Yes! Kids 13 years and under are free.

Please note that a General Admission Ticket is required for all campers aged 13+.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, we are dog friendly.

Dogs are allowed and to be kept on a leash in common areas; however, there are 136 acres of land, so feel free to let your dog roam free if it doesn’t interfere with the enjoyment of others.

How does Pitch Tent Camping work?

Campers will be provided with a map to the designated camping area upon arrival.

All campers are required to purchase a General Admission Ticket.

No electricity on campsites.

Individual campsites will not be delineated, you will be guided by our volunteers as to where to camp.

Port-a-potties throughout the property.

Potable water available.

Recycling stations provided, garbage goes home with you!

River swimming at your own risk, no night swimming.

Camp stoves are allowed.

You can park by your tent if space allows it, otherwise park at the designated parking area.

What do I need to bring with me?

As you prepare for your A Queer Camp adventure, here's a handy checklist of essentials to ensure you have everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable experience:

  1. Bedding: Depending on your accommodation, you may need to bring your own bedding, including sheets, blankets, and pillows.
  2. Clothing: Pack appropriate clothing for the weather conditions, including layers for cooler evenings and comfortable attire for outdoor activities.
  3. Personal Items: Don't forget essentials such as toiletries, sunscreen, insect repellent, and any necessary medications.
  4. Camp Gear: Bring any camping gear you'll need, such as tents, sleeping bags, camping chairs, and lanterns. If you're staying in a furnished tent or cabin, double-check what amenities are provided.
  5. Food and Cooking Supplies: Plan and pack meals for your stay, along with cooking utensils, a portable stove or grill, and any necessary food storage containers. Don't forget to pack a cooler to keep perishable items fresh.
  6. Water: Ensure you have an ample supply of drinking water for your stay, especially if potable water is not readily available at the campsite.
  7. Outdoor Gear: Depending on your planned activities, bring appropriate outdoor gear such as hiking boots, swimwear, hiking poles, and fishing equipment.
  8. Entertainment: Bring along items for entertainment during downtime, such as books, board games, musical instruments, or a deck of cards.
  9. First Aid Kit: Pack a basic first aid kit with essentials such as bandages, antiseptic wipes, pain relievers, and any personal medications.
  10. Miscellaneous: Consider additional items that may enhance your camping experience, such as a camera for capturing memories, binoculars for birdwatching, or a portable phone charger.

Will the event be cancelled due to poor weather conditions?

This is an outdoor event, rain, or shine. Please check the weather and come prepared.

Will there be food available for purchase?

Yes, there will be pop-up plant-based food options available for purchase from Kingston's Knifey Spooney

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Alcohol is permitted on the campgrounds, but its use must be confined to your registered campsite and to those of legal age. No alcohol consumption is permitted near or in the river.

These same rules apply to smoking (including cannabis). Consumption of cannabis will be permitted however,  not in common areas within campgrounds such as beach, washrooms, trails, parking areas or roads. Privileges may be revoked in the event of offensive behavior and an order to leave the campground may be enforced.
