Workshops

Whether you're looking to hike in the woods, make new yoga friends, level up your kissing game, learn about indigenous beadwork, stuff your face or commemorate the weekend with a tattoo, our queer-led workshops have you covered!

How does it work? Some workshops have capacities due to equipment or supplies. There will be workshop signup clipboards (real old-school like) posted in the pavilion for campers to snag a spot in their desired workshop. Don't worry, we have enough workshop spaces for all campers! ❤️

Nix

Don’t worry - we have no doubt y’all know how to kiss 😉 But who doesn’t love an excuse to slow down and approach connecting with someone (be it a partner or a cute new connection you made at camp!) in an intentional and intimate way. ❤️

Nix a Libra with a scorpio in Venus so you know they're bringing the spice, and our amazing hosts were star attendees at this fun little workshop last summer so they’ve already tested it out for you!

*** FUN fact: Skylar & Jessie had their 3rd date at this kissing workshop and STILL GUSH ABOUT IT. Both say it was the most intimate & sensual activity, it really taught us to slow down and be present***

How it works:
- bring your partner, friend you’re comfortable kissing, or ask a fellow camper to join you for a playful mini date

- run through a “what to expect” and consent discussion so we are all safe and comfy

- be led through a series of exploratory and intimate excersises where your focus is on your person and fully engaging with your senses

🌲 we have the perfect spot for this! 🌲

NIX is officially camping with us & we are SO happy!!

Jaye & Des

Meet Queers in Nature - Jaye (he/him, bird enthusiast) and Des (he/they, tree hugger). We are two nature nerds that just want to hang out and bask in the glory that is the outdoors with y’all!

We lead free hikes & other fun outdoorsy times primarily out of Guelph, but we also host more challenging hikes along different sections of the Bruce Trail as a part of our Queers on the Bruce series.

Our aim with Queers in Nature is exactly as our name suggests - we want to bring folks from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community together in the outdoors.

The goal is to hold space for folks to explore & remember our kinship with the natural world while simultaneously growing stronger community bonds. Queers have always been a part of nature, and we always will be!

We can’t wait to pet moss, poke mushrooms, hug trees, listen to bird song, and geek out over all the other cool nature-y things we hope to find in the woods at Riverstone together!

We adore these beautiful grounding souls and are very happy they are joining us and guiding 2 group walks! 🏕️⛺️🌳
